Billing
What can I expect when making changes to my plan?
- You will have the chance to preview all billable events before they happen.
- This includes; Starting a new plan, Switching plans, Changing billing cycles (monthly to yearly), Adding new billable team members (Unlimited plan only), Changing team members role (Unlimited plan only)
Unlimited Plan
Will I be billed immediately when I add new team members?
- Yes, you will be billed the prorated amount for the remaining time on your current billing cycle.
What happens if I archive a team member?
- A prorated credit will be applied to your next invoice for the remaining time on your current billing cycle.
Will discounts be applied to new team members?
- Yes, discounts will remain valid for the entire offer period even when adding new team members.
- The billing alert will let you know when a discount is still applied.
Pay as you go Plan
When will I be billed on the Pay as you go plan?
- The base price and included file notes will be billed immediately at the start of your billing cycle.
- Any additional file notes beyond the included amount will be billed at the end of the billing cycle.
For example, if you start your subscription on the 1st Jan, and create 6 file notes during the month of January, you will have the following invoices:
- 1st Jan: $50
- 1st Feb: $50 (start of new billing cycle) + $20 (2 additional file notes in previous billing cycle) = $70
Plan Changes
Can I switch between the Pay as you go plan and Unlimited plan?
- Yes. The changes will take place immediately.
- If your plan price increases, you'll be billed immediately. Otherwise, a credit will be applied to your account for future invoices.
- Changes between plan types will reset the billing cycle.
- Changes to the interval will keep the current billing cycle.
What happens if my new plan is more or less than the existing plan?
- If it's more, you'll be billed immediately for the difference.
- If it's less, a credit will be applied to your account and used against future invoices.
Will discounts be applied if I switch plans?
- Unfortunately discounts cannot be applied to your new plan or billing cycle.
Payment Details and Invoicing
How can I change the email address where I receive receipts and invoices?
- Go to Settings > Billing.
- Select the Preferences option.
- In the Stripe customer portal, you can update your email address for billing communications.
- This change will ensure future receipts and invoices are sent to your preferred email address.
How do I get a tax invoice?
- Go to Settings > Billing.
- Select the Billing history option.
- You'll be taken to the Stripe customer portal where you can view all receipts.
- You should also receive an email with a receipt and invoice for each payment.
My invoice isn't a tax invoice. How can I fix this?
- Go to Settings > Billing.
- Select the Preferences option.
- Add you ABN as a Tax ID, and save the changes.
- Future invoices will be tax invoices.
How do I change my payment method?
- Go to Settings > Billing > Payment methods. You'll be taken to the Stripe customer portal to securely update your payment method.
Cancellations
Can I cancel my plan?
- Yes, you can cancel at any time.
Will I lose access immediately if I cancel?
- No, your access will continue until the end of your current billing cycle.
Can I un-cancel my plan?
- Yes, you can reverse the cancellation before the cancellation date.
- Otherwise you will need to start a new subscription.
Can I add new team members when my plan is set to cancel?
- Yes. You will be billed immediately for the remaining time on the plan.
What happens when I cancel the Pay as you go plan?
- You've already paid for the full month's base price, but won't be charged for the next month.
- You will be billed for any final usage of that month when the plan cancels.
