Record client meetings on Microsoft Teams mobile app and upload to Claras

Sometimes you’re meeting a client face-to-face, away from your desk, and there’s no laptop in sight. But you still need a clean, accurate file note in Claras afterwards.

Using the Microsoft Teams mobile app, you can record the conversation from your phone and import it into Claras once you’re back in the office.
Here’s how to do it, step by step.

1. Setup Microsoft Teams Integration



Open Claras and navigate to My Profile in the bottom left corner.
Scroll down to the Integrations section.
Connect your Microsoft Teams account by following the prompts.

2. Schedule and Prepare for the Meeting



Schedule your client meeting in Claras.

Review the client's situation in Clarity+ to prepare for the meeting.

3. Join the Meeting on Mobile



Open the Microsoft Teams app on your mobile device.
Click into the scheduled meeting and join it (video can be off).

4. Record the Meeting



Once in the meeting, tap on the three dots menu at the bottom of the screen.
Select Start Recording to begin recording the meeting.

5. End the Meeting



After the meeting concludes, simply leave the meeting to stop the recording.

6. Upload Recording to Claras



Back at your office, log in to Claras.
Click into the meeting and select Upload Recording.
Go to the Teams tab to find the recording.
Select it and click Ok then start processing your file note.
Add notes if needed and start creating your file note.

Tips for Efficiency



Familiarise yourself with the Teams app interface to quickly navigate and record meetings.
Ensure you record your meeting in the Teams app.
